Staff Training

The most valuable asset at VisionWest Home HealthCare are our staff. We are committed to supporting all our staff with opportunities for them to learn and develop their potential to the highest level. All new staff participate in a two day orientation/induction programme, which introduces them to all aspects of employment with VisionWest and what’s expected of them as a support worker.

Learning and development is part of being a Support Worker at VisionWest Home HealthCare. Formal, paid sessions are conducted regularly throughout the year and are and attendance at these is compulsory. These sessions provide staff with the opportunity to ask questions, learn about recent industry developments, review VisionWest policies and procedures, and mix and mingle with other staff. On top of this, VisionWest facilitates Careerforce Training packages for the National Certificate in Community Support Services Foundation Skills (Level 2) and Core Competencies (Level 3). These qualifications are tailored specifically for homecare support. To find out more about Careerforce training packages and career pathways for further training, check our their website.
