Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Manager is responsible for leading the development and growth of VisionWest Baptist Homecare in the region. Along with the lead coordinator and care manager, this role also holds the responsibility of managing and overseeing, the clinical and coordination teams in West Auckland and the North Shore in the delivery of a client driven, flexible, responsive and integrated community-based support service.
Other responsibilities of this position include:
* Being part of the Baptist Homecare Senior Management team along with the other regional Service Managers and business partners
* Developing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external stakeholders (funders, referral agencies, primary care providers, clients and their whanau)
* Working collaboratively across the HomeCare service centres to ensure consistency of workflow processes. policies and quality standards
* Operational and budget management
* Achieving the goals and targets within the allocated "national" portfolios and regularly communicating related process
* Ensuring services are appropriate to the needs of the people we support and delivered to the highest standards of quality while meeting all relevant sector standards
* Contributing to the development of a restorative model of service delivery
* Reporting and administration
* Managing the portfolio by staff engagement, development and implementation
* Ensuring continuous quality improvement
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Strong management experience and in leading teams in a Home Healthcare or aged care setting
* Proven experience in problem solving and strategic thinking
* Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (preferable)
* Experience partnering with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
* Demonstrated client-centric and responsive solutions for users of our service
* Working knowledge of the Home and Community support sector standards and working with robust quality systems
* Very clear spoken and written English
* A calm, flexible attitude and the ability to multi task
* The ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders
* The ability to work in a fast paced and pressurised environment
* An understanding of the social model of service delivery in a community care environment (desirable)
* An inclusive way of working with people, displaying empathy along with excellent listening skills
