Mahi Ora (Training for Work)

Training for Work is a 13 week course designed to support learners to gain extra skills and have a better opportunity at securing full time employment. Course workshops give students an overview of:

• Fundamentals of CVs/Cover letters
• Identifying skills vs attributes
• Tapping into the hidden job market
• Interview preparation skills
• Identifying strengths - enabling candidates to “sell” themselves
• Communications skills



The TFW team works with candidates to:



• Assist into a pathway to finding employment
• Develop interpersonal and customer service skills
• Increase confidence levels
• Participate in work experience to suit your skills and know-how
• Gain access to vocational pathways

To enrol in TFW, students must be over 18 years and have a referral from Work and Income (WINZ). For more information about class times and vacancies, please contact us.
