Youth Programme

VisionWest Training Centre offers quality academic training using Unit Standards to enable Youth aged 16-18 years to achieve their NCEA. In addition to this an Alternative Education Programme (AE) provides students between the ages of 14-16 years with an opportunity to complete their basic education in an environment which caters for their particular needs.

This training is an excellent alternative on which to build a framework linking in to further education and/or an exciting new career.

‘Beyond the Classroom’ activities encourage students to take up activities such as cooking, boxing and gym training, art and craft projects. Youth with an interest in Horticulture and Landscaping can access that training as an option.
