Welcome

VisionWest Training Centre provides opportunities for people to up-skill, gain training, and grow in confidence in preparation for employment. VisionWest Training also offers second chance training to people who missed the opportunity for education the first time round. Programs include NCEA Level One units for youth, the National Certificate in Horticulture for youth and adults, and intensive literacy and numeracy training for students of 16 years old upward.

While pursuing excellence in all education programs, VisionWest takes a holistic approach in order to meet the needs of students. Part of this approach includes work experience and helping students discover individual talents.

VisionWest Training also works towards the transformation of the individual in areas of confidence and self esteem. Personal accountability is emphasized by the creative and caring team of tutors and support staff. Hence, the Training Centre is a safe and non-judgemental environment where students develop better social and communication skills. This results in changed attitudes towards work and students develop the ability to contribute productively to society.
