VisionWest Training Centre was established in 1992 with the purpose of providing free quality education and training within a faith – based context. VisionWest Training Centre is focussed on Transformed Lives and Healthy Communities. All our courses are fees free and our programmes are designed to support students in different ways and to build pathways into the workforce or further training. Pastoral Care is an integral part of the programme - The Training Centre is a safe and non-judgmental environment with a creative and caring team of tutors and support staff.
We are a registered Private Training Establishment (PTE) with NZQA and we have five departments within the Centre – Working For You, Youth Guarantee, Alternative Education, and Intensive Literacy and Numeracy. These work in close collaboration and provide integrated services where appropriate. In addition to this, a distance National Certificate in Adult Literacy and Numeracy Education (NCALNE) course is available.
