Building Hope Together with the International Community

On Wednesday 26 February, VisionWest Community Trust hosted the delegation from the New Caledonia Social Project Authority Association. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) facilitated the visit as a unique opportunity to share and exchange ideas around social housing, particularly with reference to meeting the needs of Maori, Polynesian, and Oceanian Culture.

Official Opening: School Uniform & Curtain Bank

VisionWest’s Community Care service has officially opened it’s School Uniform & Curtain Bank.
VisionWest held an opening ceremony on Wednesday 10th November to officially launch the intiative which has already helped a number of West Auckland families. The School Uniform Bank and Curtain Bank are housed on-site at VisionWest and are receiving donated second-hand West Auckland school uniforms as well as curtains and curtain material to provide insulation to homes within our community.

VisionWest is seeking a volunteer to Coordinate the Curtain Bank project, as well as donations from the community and local businesses.
