Community Care

Isolation is a key issue that keeps people from growing and developing. As an organisation, VisionWest believes that people are made for community.

Therefore a group was developed where people could find a place of connection and belonging. The Hub runs on a fortnightly basis with dinner provided. People come and hang out together, talk and discover that they are not alone. One person commented on how nice it was to come along and enjoy dinner with others. Even better was the fact that she could bring her kids and they had fun without her having to worry about them. She met people who were solo parents like her and slowly grew to trust them enough to talk about her life. She now says that she is part of our community and loves how that makes her feel. She has people she can come to if she needs to.
