Kiwis are doing it tough across New Zealand. Get involved and be part of the story of hope and transformation.
Te Kapu is a weekly FREE lunch for Visionwest client whānau and the wider community. It was initiated by a group from Glen Eden Baptist Church and is jointly run by the church and Visionwest. It has become a vital point of connection for many in our community.
Each Wednesday, an average of 90 people gather for the lunch.
Anyone can come along; Every Wednesday from noon-2pm (meal served from noon – 12:45pm).

Alongside the counselling support provided at The Wellbeing Centre, our Glen Eden Counselling Centre, Visionwest provides counselling support for children in six local primary schools. This help is provided free to the children accessing it and is great in helping them overcome challenges and gain self-confidence.
In Visionwest’s last financial year, The Visionwest Wellbeing Centre delivered 864 sessions within the six schools that are visited. A number of those children supported were experiencing trauma following the flood events early in 2023.
Here’s what one parent said about the help her child received (the name has been changed), “Callum has a new-found confidence in himself. He’s coping well, willing to listen to ideas and plan together, and able to communicate his feelings. He thought the counsellor was amazing. As a family we really appreciate what Visionwest has done for our family.”

Every day, thousands of older adults and people living with a disability are visited by a Visionwest Home Healthcare Support Worker. Those visits mean these people can stay in the comfort and security of their own homes despite their age or challenges.
In Visionwest’s last financial year, Visionwest Home Healthcare delivered 1,289,897 hours of quality in-home healthcare. That’s over 3,500 hours every day throughout West Auckland, North Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Rotorua/Taupō.

Sorry folks, Visionwest’s Fruit and Vegie Pop-up is
CLOSED
for the holidays.
Just after we posted that last post, the team at Food Together contacted us to say they were closing and, if they are closed, we’ve got no food, so we gotta close too.
So, we’re open this Friday 12 April.
>>Then CLOSED for two Fridays (April 19 and 26).
Then open again on Friday 3 May.
Sorry for any confusion.
Don’t forget, our Pātaka Kai is open every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from noon until 2pm. Just come along to 97 Glendale Road, Glen Eden.
